There are two possibilities. Either we are alone in the universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying!

Well, the holiday season is upon us so here’s a holiday fav of the family. I have been making these for well over 30 years since I first saw the recipe on the side of a roll of Jimmy Dean Breakfast Sausage.
Sausage Cheese Balls1
Ingredients
3 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
1 pound uncooked bulk pork sausage
4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (16 ounces)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary leaves, crushed
1 1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley or 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes
Steps
1 Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease bottom and sides of 15x10x1-inch pan.
2 In large bowl, stir together all ingredients except barbecue sauce, using hands or spoon. Shape mixture into 1-inch balls. Place in pan.
3 Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until brown. Immediately remove from pan. Serve warm with sauce for dipping.

Ok ok ok. So whats up on the Bayou? Here we go. I decided to upgrade the software on the main server from 18.04 to 20.04 and all that goes with it. If all had gone well there would have been little in the way of interruptions and the site would be faster and more in tune with today’s standards. Did I tell you I am a close friend of Murphy? Yeah that Murphy, the one from Murphy’s Law fame. Well, he decided to pay me a visit, at the wrong time of course, and we had a small power interruption which seems to happen a lot down here and would have been no problem except for the fact that I was installing the new kernel1 . The power surge happening in the middle of main Kernel install caused a mass extinction event. I couldn’t reboot into either the new or old kernel and the file tree was beyond recovery. Soooooooooo I bit the bullet and did a fresh install on another drive and am slowly rebuilding the blog and the Stream server from the ground up. I can still use some of the old config files to guide me but I fear a lot of the history in the old database for the blog may be un-recoverable. I do have the random stream playing and I am working on getting some of our favorite stories from the history. But we shall see. Hang in there. Some of you have been with me since 2007 when I started this whole endeavor and I thank you for the emails and kind words through out the years, AND your patience So here’s the blog with a working stream and more and more will come online as time goes on.
Thank you ——Publius
